Dr. Chopra MD, MBA, Dip. Anatomy ASANZ, FRACS, is an experienced neurosurgeon and entrepreneur with more than 20 years of strategic advisory, investment, clinical research and operational experience in the healthcare sector across the medical device, diagnostic, services, information technology and pharma verticals. Dr. Chopra has worked with early stage as well as large cap private and public companies in developed and emerging markets and is is the co-founder, managing partner of TCG, an executive accelerator focused on cutting edge smart and personalized medical and wellness technologies.

Dr. Chopra is the co-founder of several medical innovation startups and has held corporate roles at several large medical device companies and investment banking firms. With a focus on medical devices, healthtech and diagnostics he has advised on strategic deals across mergers & acquisitions, IPOs, PIPEs and private financings, enabling many transformative transactions. Several key deals include the sale of Arrow to Teleflex for $2B, Viasys to Cardinal Health for $1.5B, Hemosense to Inverness for $167M and BioArray Solutions to Immucor for $117M.

Dr. Chopra has practiced as a neurosurgeon in Australia, India, Canada and the U.S., and has held faculty appointments at Stanford University, Duke University and the University of Melbourne. As an Associate Professor at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in North Carolina. He has been an invited expert for his work in Neuroscience, Neurosurgery, Robotics and Neurocognition.

Dr. Chopra obtained his medical degree from the University of Melbourne in Australia class of ’89, a diploma in Anatomy from the Anatomical Society of Australia and New Zealand ‘92, his fellowship degree in neurosurgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons class of ‘99 and his master’s degree in business and a health sector management certificate from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business class of ‘03.
